Or under the influence.  For your first assignment you are asked to go back through art history and find a technique or movement that is interesting to you, then apply it to a subject from pop culture (virtual field trip here). (Another pop culture museum) This obviously does not need to be created in clay-the medium choice is up to you/what you have readily available.

For example: recreate a Kim & Kanye selfie as a Japanese woodcut; paint a climate change fresco, you get the idea.  Here’s some current art to help motivate you! You’ll have until midnight Sunday to get this completed.
